Horseback Riding and an Engagement

Glorious day - I had so much fun on this shoot tonight. We went up South Fork and rode horses up to a meadow where we took some beautiful engagements for my cousin Kinzie and her sweetheart, Quinn. I love how they turned out and can't wait to show them to you. Yay :) Here is me riding a horse for the first time. It was also Britani's first time riding. That was fun to experience this with her. I'm glad I wasn't the only rookie going ;)

Oh and here are some from the actual shoot! Enjoy :)

Expressing Thankfulness [Day 4]

There are so many things that I can be grateful for today! It's fantastic!

  • I'm so very grateful that I have the courage and self-confidence to go visiting teaching by myself. Some stuff happened with my companion and so I ended up doing half of my teaching for the month and got to meet with my sisters. It was fantastic.
  • I'm also extremely grateful for this wonderful fall weather that we're having because I got to walk to the sisters' houses and it was just a nice breath of fresh air.
  • I got to visit with Grandma Jean tonight. I don't make it over there often, but I felt that I needed to go over there today. I've been thinking about her and it was fun to see her :)
  • I spent time with my sister last night. That hasn't happened in a while, so I was grateful for our adventure at Wal-Mart. We never did end up watching a movie because by the time we could, we were both super tired. Kind of ridiculous, but WHATEVER. I did get new curtains and they are black. and magnificent.
  • Since I struggle with fasting from food, I've decided to take a break from Facebook tonight. It's ridiculous to realize how hard it is... but it's also a nice breath of fresh air. I've filled my Sunday with so many great things rather than wasting my day away on social networking and homework. (Homework is still important, but I had a friend challenge me not to do any on Sundays... we'll see how this goes over... haha.) SO I am grateful for my abilit to find wholesome activities and not waste time.
Happy Sunday everyone! :)

Is there ever any time to read a regular book?

I don't even remember when this started, but sometime this year, I started buying a vast number of books off of Amazon as well as walking myself down to BN after work some days during the summer. I've got quite the collection now. It's not quite as magnificent as I would like it to be, but it's getting there. There's another thing... I haven't really had all that much time to read them, therefore, some of them sit there without having been read and I really would like to read them, but these thoughts always cross my mind everytime I look at them and am craving to read them:

Either: "No, I really shouldn't read right now. I've got other things I could be doing. I have to do chores and homework and get(stay) caught up on everything. I just don't have time."

OR: "I shouldn't be reading those books when I could be reading my scriptures. I wish I could read the Book of Mormon for hours on end like I do other books and just wiz right through it." (I wonder if there's a reason for that... Is there a reason that I can't just read the book? It's probably my perceptive mind and my strange ability to have to think about it. Interesting.) I also find myself thinking "I should be spending time reading the Book of Mormon so that I'll be able to finish the challenge by completing it by the end of March." (It was a challenge given by our bishopric.) So what happens when I do finish? Do I just start over? That's another thing. I have a hard time reading a book twice if I can remember what it's about. But then again, by the time I finish and start over, it won't be the same. I'll always find new things? I think so. Especially since it takes me so long to read.

Anyways, see all these thoughts going through my head? I just feel as though you can't successfully read that special book without studying it. It's not the same if you don't. Well, one day I'll have time to read all seven books of the Chronicles of Narnia (that I have in one big awesome book, by the way...) and one day I'll have time to sit down and find out what happens to Cassia and Ky in the "Matched" trilogy to see if they ever truly fall in love and run away together or wait and see it she ends up marrying Xander.

Meantime, I'm off to clean bedroom, do laundry and catch up on some homework (mainly the reproductive systems in health... can you tell why I've been putting it off? yeah, me too). Now just to do them in a fashionable order, while staying downstairs as to not catch mom's... illness... I guess you could say.

I had this whole paragraph typed up explaining and expressing feelings, but instead I'm just going to show you pictures and leave it at that. :)

Happy Easter!

So I got to speak in sacrament today and my family showed up (as well as a few close friends), and doubled the attendance in the ward. CRAZY! I know. So after sacrament, we all went home, changed, and then went over to grandma’s for a fun-filled day. I love my family. They bring me the happiness that I can’t get anywhere else... :) Also, I wanted to add that there will be more pictures to come. These are just some more glamorous pictures rather than what actually happened. Probably some of my best yet. So... maybe on Facebook when I allow myself back on in about a month and a half... ha! I love little kids. Especially when they smile... and horses were fun to take pictures of. Definitely gonna have to do that more often. Let me know what you think! :)

Wow... I hope you love your family just as much as I love mine...

This is probably why I can't score a date... Ha...

This is probably why I can't score a date... haha, I do this on my weekends with my cousins because I have nothing better to do. But I'm gonna be honest. I love them and this is usually what I prefer to do... that may explain a lot of my dating troubles... ha, ah well. I like making a fool of myself. Who am I to kid? Seriously.

This is Maddi and Savanna's jar of words. It's full of words... that we wrote on paper. Don't know how many are in there, so don't ask.

As Nikki would say, "This is a lime on steroids."
So we play "what if" too. I'm not gonna put those on here though... there are FAR too many... ha... we played for hours... I guess this is who I am. And I'm alright with that. :)

An Oldy, but a Goody :)

Since I've been lacking in epicness lately, I've been looking at past times where I haven't been so unfortunate. Haha, SO, due to the procrastination of chores, I have been looking at old videos made with my cousins. Gooooood stuff. Hopefully I can find some more soon. :)

This is all I can find at the moment... that's really dorky... haha, but it'll do for now :)

Snow... FINALLY! *smiles*

Yes... it snowed Sunday morning. Brilliant? Yes. Waking up in grandpa's basement and looking out the french doors and two large glass windows to watch the earth covered in pure, untouched, white snow was extremely breath-taking. I love first snow fall of the year. Now... let's be honest... it can go away... haha! I wanna wear my chucks again... although boots have proven to be a great comfort on a tiring Monday. (And I was supposed to wait till Christmas to get them... hahahaha) Okay... yeah... so Maddi, Nikki and I all went sledding and played in the snow. Well, it was more they played around in the snow while I took pictures of them. Yeah, cause I'm like that. Haha, I hope you're enjoying the snow as well!!! (The first and the fourth are my favorite! :))

Framing It

So... boredom was deemed upon us this evening. So I grabbed my camera, we grabbed some sheets and material, an empty picture frame and started snapping photos. It was cold outside, so we didn't last long and didn't get many pictures anyways (let alone any good ones), so we dealt with what we had inside. We just messed around with some lights and such. They're not meant to be profesh. They're just fun and colorful and silly. Nothing that I would use to impress anyone... haha, but yeah, I hope you like them either way.

Two of my Best Friends

These two ladies right here are two of my best friends ever. I mean, when we get to hang out, we enjoy ourselves... extremely... haha, it's definitely a great time either way. I don't know what I would do without these two.

A Guest Visitor in English

So you may be surprised to know that my English teacher, Mrs. Crampton, brought a guest visitor to class last week... yeah... her name is Rosie and she's extremely calm and pleasant (not necessarily the way she looks but work with me here...) yeah, let me just show you... oh yeah... and she likes hair... haha!

The Beauties of Study Hall

The beautiful thing about study hall is Fridays. My friends, we play silly games, listen to music, hang out and just have a good time. Today some of the jocks came in because of their low grades. Unfortunately, we have to be quiet today, even though we're not really doing it. We're still jamming out to our iPods and just hanging out while I update this blog of mine! Anyways, we do so many great things and it's really helped me catch up and stay caught up... unless that is... I don't feel like doing anything. Today, mainly because I'm glad that we're doing random things because it's gotten my mind off of what's to come after school. Thank goodness for that. When I do my homework, it gives me too much time to think, that's for sure. Well, while Styx is ringing in my ears, I'm enjoying the sweet sound of the low chatter in the room. For once in my life, I'm thankful for a distraction.

Here's Craig doing a funny pose and completely holding it. It was sweet, so I took a picture of it. Sorry it's sideways. Haha, this computer is wack!

Come Sail Away

I realized that if I don't get my act together soon, my BCF will have me beat at blogging. Nuh-uh. Not gonna happen. I shall be blogging queen!!! Mwahahaha! Anyways... just sayin'...

Well, tonight's been pretty emotional. Crazy to say the least. Watched a great movie (at least part of it that I need to finish the rest of) and then went to the choir concert. Not really much to say except that it was a good time. Here's some photos.

I like this picture a lot because we're singing "Come Sail Away". Hands down, one of the best songs ever written.

Here are the lyrics to one of our songs that we sang, that I absolutely love dearly.
~Styx

I'm sailing away
Set an open course for the Virgin Sea
'Cause I've got to be free
Free to face the life that's ahead of me

On board, I'm the captain
So climb aboard
We'll search for tomorrow on every shore
And I'll try, oh Lord, I'll try to carry on

I look to the sea
Reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had

We lived happily forever
So the story goes
But somehow we missed out on the pot of gold
But we'll try best that we can to carry on

A gathering of Angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope and this is what they said

They said, "Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me lads
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me baby
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me"

I thought that they were Angels, but to my surprise
We climbed aboard their starship, we headed for the skies

Singing, come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me lads
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me

Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
