A Temporary Fixture

It doesn't matter how many times you fall.
All that matters is how many times you get back up.
I've been going through a few rough patches lately in life.
Really, the only thing that keeps me going is the fact that I KNOW
that it's not a permanent fixture.
It's kind of nice to think about actually,
knowing that I'll be high on life again.
Soon enough.
It'll come.
I just have to strive for it.
Lately, I've become more quiet and to myself.
I'm still social, and what some might consider outgoing,
but I just prefer not to be judged by others.
Not that I really actually care,
but it still doesn't feel good when people don't care about what you have to say,
or what you want to share with them,
or what you might be excited about in life at the time.
Yeah,
that's alright.
No one is really the perfect friend.
Not even me...

Well, I can think of ONE,
but He's perfect at everything.
No matter what,
He will make you feel better.
I can talk to him about anything,
and he cares.

When you fall, He's the first one by your side.
He'll pull you back up and then lift you higher than you ever thought imaginable.
It's an incredible thought to think about.
When you're frustrated,
He's frustrated.
If it's a problem for you,
it's a problem for Him.
But when you're happy and laughing,
He'll laugh with you,
He WILL enjoy that moment in excitement with you.
He rejoices in our happiness,
probably even more than we do.
(believe it or not)

Someday, I hope to be the best friend ever.
To be the best sister,
daughter,
cousin,
niece,
granddaughter
wife.

Not in this lifetime,
perfection cannot be obtained,
but I can get pretty close
as long as I let Him help me.
It's kind of hard to pull somebody back up,
if they're not willing to get up.

One day.
I just have to start trying to be that kind of person now.
That's the only way it's going to happen.
They do say that in order to become the person you want to be,
you have to start acting like it.

Thoughts become words,
words become actions,
actions become habit
and habit becomes character.
