Lee DeWyze Wins American Idol!

So on Wednesday night, I spent the night at the Bocanegra's! I really love spending time over there and it really makes me happy and fun. But let me tell you, I can only take 3 kids under the age of 12 running around for so long. There family is just so different and it's a LOT harder to get some quiet time alone, which I realized yesterday that I cherish is so much. Don't get me wrong, I absolute love their giant, fun-loving, happy, arguing, fighting, extravagant family, but I must say that it took me this long to realize that I was grateful for my own, small 4 person household vs. 7. Again, the Bocanegra's are my second family, and I don't know what I'd do without them. Their tasty meals, their loving attitudes and most importantly their love for me. I'm always welcome in the house and have quickly become one of the family. I have a strong feeling that I'm gonna be spending a lot of time over there this summer!
Well, anyways, you're probably wondering what this has to do with Lee DeWyze. For those of you that haven't been keeping up with this season's American Idol, you've most certainly missed out. With a close difference of only 2%, Lee takes the win. As Ryan Seacrest suspensefully pauses for dramatic affect before announcing who won Season 9 of the show, me, along with the rest of the Bocanegra family (minus Mason and Jake) were all sitting and anticipating the results. As they announced DeWyze as the winner, the whole family (and I) busted into cheers of happiness and laughter. It was absolutely one of the most exciting things ever. Carly and I always agree on our favorites. David Cook was our favorite, Adam Lambert (even though he didn't win) and now Lee DeWyze. We always love agreeing on things. (Don't ask about the stuff that we disagree on...) So let's look at it this way... Lee DeWyze is the best (even though that's not according to what my dad thinks; he was a complete MamaSox fan).

Here is Carly and I in our excitement after cheering and being happy and giddy after the show:
Yeah... we were pretty stoked!!! I love being a teenager! (Now how many people can say that?!?!?)
